D. Alexiou was born and raised in Thessaloniki by Thessalonian parents. He studied at the 2nd Pilot Junior High School and Lyceum of Thessaloniki. He holds the Certificate of Proficiency in English (Cambridge Univeristy) and the Zentrale Mittelstuffenprufung (Goethe Institute) from a very young age. He entered the Faculty of Law and Economics (Department of Law) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, from where he graduated with the grade "Very Good". He initiated his legal internship at a reputable and active law firm in the city and completed it at the Administrative Court of First Instance of Thessaloniki. He served his military service in the 2nd Infantry Division (Edessa) and the 4th Army Corps (Xanthi). Since then, he is an independent active lawyer with various fields of expertise.
